English lessons

At all locations, there are 15 hours of English lessons per week in international classes. Your child will be tested on arrival and placed in the right class for their age and English ability. We offer 6 levels, from Beginner to Advanced.

The focus of the summer course is on learning through engaging and fun activities including projects, games, and group work, which encourage confidence, collaboration and, of course, communication. Topics vary according to level and are chosen to be relevant and interesting to the age group.

As well as learning and practising language, students will learn about British or American Culture, and develop important skills for life, such as how to be a better learner and how to think about the world around them. There is a weekly review session, which gives each student a chance to see how much progress they have made.

Students' progress is monitored throughout the course, and at the end they will receive an end-of-course report, and a certificate to mark their learning achievement; they will also take home their 'student journal' as a record of their time at Kings Summer.
